Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American singer and actress whose dramatic range earned her popular acclaim across many genres from period drama to thriller and action adventure. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an architect father and producer mother. Hunter and her twin brother and She were all the smallest of a family of four. By the time she was seven years old, her passion for acting was growing. Her first audition was for commercials. In a brief time span, she began studying in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Then, in the following years it was the time that the Professional Children's School was opened in Manhattan. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she acted alongside Ethan Hawke. She then appeared in her first film on screen in North (1994) and was directed by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson was later seen on screen in Just Cause, but she first made an appearance in Manny & Lo, a film about orphaned siblings who flee. Her next film won the attention of critics for her character as a teenage girl who suffered a disfiguring accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) as well as further recognition for her role as the cynical teenage outcast Rebecca in Ghost World (2001). The award-winning actress was the main member of the cast. Alongside her part in the TV series, she has also been an actor on stage for several years. She is known for her outstanding roles in stage plays like Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith began her path into the world of entertainment at an early age. She was drawn to performing as a child. Smith's parents supported her in getting her first role in the acting world at age six. Smith appeared in an Dannon commercial for television. As many new actresses choose to pursue, she decided to build her skills in theater. While working on different productions in the USA she made her stage debut with Wildflower. She was a graduate of her Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
